“We are in desperate need of equipment such as a lawnmower, steel rake, weed eater, garden soil, etc.”
To whom it may concern:
In 2014, members of the Winton community in Central California along with the help and guidance of the Winton Lifeline Community Center embarked on an amazing mission. The mission was simple, to create a community garden as a source of fresh produce for the members of the community abroad. This garden would be created and maintained under community volunteer efforts and provide a free and healthy means of obtaining fresh vegetables in city of Winton. Since 2014, we have steadily set out to accomplish our initial goal and have done so successfully thus far.
As time goes on, we continue to provide for our community through these efforts. However, we have reached a point where we are having trouble doing so due to lack of materials and funding. On behalf of the community of Winton, we ask for your help to bring fresh produce to our neighbors, friends, families and community as a whole. We are in desperate need of equipment such as a lawnmower, steel rake, weed eater, garden soil, etc.
Although we have been getting by through random acts of kindness from members within and outside of our community, To be able to maintain and continue the growth of this project on our own would be a blessing to everyone involved and everyone who benefits from the efforts of this endeavor.
We thank you for taking the time to read this and hope we will be able to continue this project for many days to come.
