Do you ever sing that song to yourself “no one knows what it’s like to be a farmer”?

Or are you curious what it’s like on the other side of the fence? What inspires other people to work the land day in and day out?

Every farmer has a story. And we love stories! Author and CropMobster community member Elvira DiBrigit has captured a volume of interviews with 15 local farmers with a wide range of skills and backgrounds. Fellow CropMobsters featured in a book!

Craig MacNamara, President of California State Board of Food and Agriculture, said:
“Her vignettes about farmers are inspirational, beckoning a new generation of
farmers to the land that sustains us. If we can take the lessons learned
here into the future, we will be going in the right direction.”
