We have a position open at our store in historic downtown Petaluma
Applicant must have significant knowledge of gardening, and heirloom varieties; excellent communication skills; able to provide diagnostics and problem solving for customers; be proficient with social media; prefer some retail experience. Applicant must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Job duties will consists of assisting customers with seed selections, operating a POS system, store upkeep, shipping, and other general duties. May include remote social media projects with Missouri, and tasks related to The National Heirloom Exposition. Bonus points if you are already experienced with Baker Creek’s varieties, and/or speak conversational Spanish.
Positon is 30-40 hours a week across Monday through Friday operating hours, with occasional Sundays; salary starts at $18 DOE. Medical available after probation, other perks (you’ll never run out of seeds). Position is open now.
