Our beautiful and secluded 80-acre ranch between Freestone and Bodega is offering a work trade position for a live-in farm co-worker.
We are seeking a farm co-workers with at least one season of farming under their belt, but a willingness to learn will suffice. You must have a desire to work on a newly developing educational farm, with goats, pigs, chickens and Biodynamically grown produce. Much of the work at this stage will be farm chores and initial infrastructure installation. Our farm is owned by a community of families with one couple managing the farm. Friends and family of the owners often visit and stay at the farm as well. There may be up to three resident co-workers, a few WOOFers and a few renters also living on site at any given time.
Our farm was founded to be a learning farm and retreat for the families and faculty of a Waldorf school in the East Bay. Our CSA will serve families in the East Bay and SF. We look to the principals of Anthroposophy and Social Threefolding to guide our community endeavors. We endeavor to practice love, compassion, direct communication and non-violence in our community.
