If you’ve ever been to a plant sale at the OAEC, you are in for a pleasant surprise – we are now open every Fri-Sat-Sun from now until October!  OAEC is home to one of the most unique nurseries in the bay area in that our inventory is 100% Certified Organic and propagated from plants grown in our own 40+ year old “Mother Garden.”  We boast the widest selection of perennial food crops and multi-purpose plants ideal for permaculture design applications, hundreds of varieties of unique open-pollinated, heirloom vegetables, flowers and culinary and medicinal herbs that you can’t find anywhere else.  We add new varieties every week, so stop by throughout the season to check out our latest offerings! All proceeds benefit our non-profit mission to preserve bio-cultural diversity, promote ecological literacy, and enhance our regional food security through organic and regenerative agriculture.  Come for a tour on 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month at 1pm to see examples of mature plants thriving in place and water-saving landscaping ideas in our renowned demonstration gardens. Please note: the gardens and OAEC grounds are otherwise closed to the public except for posted tour public tour dates.  Visit oaec.org/nursery for more information, including our spring perennials plant list.
