Laura Roehrick, RN, CFCN, is a graduate of the Santa Rosa Community College with a degree in nursing, a career that has spanned over 46 years.
She is a Certified Foot Care Nurse and is known as a pioneer in the field of nursing footcare nursing, having started her business The Foot Care Nurse over 26 years ago.
She has presented and taught workshops throughout the US, in Canada, England, Africa, Malaysia and in Nepal.
Laura calls herself an “herbal enthusiast” and has been educating herself in herbal studies and medicine making for over 25 years by taking short courses at CSHS,
and attending other herbal classes and conferences. She incorporates the healing properties of herbs into her foot care practice whenever possible.
Seeing the importance that good skin plays in preventive foot care, Laura developed an organic foot salve formula called Lions Paw to help treat dry and cracked skin, which for someone with diabetes can lead to a wound that could end in limb amputation. She makes her formulas in her garage lab and will share her tips on making a healing salve as well as setting up a home lab.
More recently, Laura started teaching on YouTube, as a way to spread her skills and ideas globally. Her channel, Laura Roehrick: PROJECT STREET FEET consists of videos filmed during her free foot care clinics for the homeless that were held at the soup kitchen in Santa Rosa. She sees that social media is the only way to spread the information to vast numbers of people throughout the world. She will share with you her vision on how together, we can “salve the feet of the world
