Background Story

In 2015 local Bay Area farms such as Laguna Farm and Green Star Farm had the idea to build popup “drop–points” where folks could drop off their carved or uncarved pumpkins for animal feed, compost and other more sustainable uses.  The goals were put these valuable nutrients to good use and feed farms and soil, instead of being thrown away and wasted. Additionally, it was just plain fun & is another great way to “close the resource loop” and connect people with local agriculture!
