4,175.44 pounds of food rescued in 2018!

The Bobcat Eats Food Waste Awareness and Prevention Program is happy to announce that we have rescued 4,175.44 pounds of perishable nutritious food from area cafes, restaurants, stores and more since beginning the program in May 2018. Rescued food included: canned goods, pastries, bagels and tons of great produce!

We look forward to a productive year of rescuing more food and feeding more people, but we need your help! We need volunteers to help rescue food. We need food donors (including backyard gardeners, farmers, restaurant and cafe owners, store owners and anyone else). We also need more people/organizations who want to help distribute this food to their clients/community members. So if you operate a food pantry, a church or any community organization (schools, healthcare centers etc) that has the ability to help distribute food, please contact us at [email protected] or (209)205-8102.
